FLOW FOR YOU
Unreal Engine, MAYA, Leap Motion
This is my graduate thesis project that challenge the boundary between the virtual and the real.
I seek to combine projections with 5 elements in Wu Xing from the real worlds, such as wind, water, fire, and people, to create immersive experiences that allow viewers to break free from conventional dimensions and interact with reality in new and exciting ways, empowered by the potential of technology.

Flow’s creative inspiration can be categorized into three levels: technical, conceptual, and aesthetic. At the technical level, I employ advanced technologies such as projection mapping, Arduino, and hand movement tracking to create a seamless interaction between virtual images and real-world objects in real time.

For the conceptual level, Flow draws inspiration from various sources, including the Taoist philosophy of the renowned philosopher Laozi, Rhonda Byrne's book (Byrne) on the law of attraction, The Secret, as well as papers by several educators and philosophers.
In the upcoming papers, I will delve into these sources and discuss their influence on Flow's creative process.

In Flow for You, the power of the wind and the shape of the wind is shown mainly through the floating fabric. Through Leap motion to accurately identify hand movements, the movement of the fabric sinks and floats with people's hands, and people are like a magician, connecting the Flow they create to the fabric.
The movement of the fabric is not always calm, slow, and elegant, sometimes it spins and jumps rapidly, like a magic carpet, struggling to break through the limits of the digital world and this medium of 2D wall to the real world of 3D.
At last, my goal is to create interesting and enjoyable work that inspires joy, laughter,
and new ideas in my audience. To me, that's the essence of interactive art.
